Three days, three days since their lives turned upside down. Two days since he last saw his family. It was getting colder, he felt the virus that was going around mutants. Remy sat around the fire that was near the hut. The fire he made from rocks he had found all over the place down here. It wasnt a big fire, Remy urned for one of those. He shivered a bit more. Staring at the fire so intently as memories of when his father showed him the first time how to make one. In that time him and his family had went to his aunts onl farm house, so the fire was a lot bigger than this.
Of course Remy being the age of seven wast interested in fires, or his dad's ninja stuff, unlike Irrilia he wanted to explore the area, play around. Thankfully Hana had joined him on his adventures, guess thats why they both suck at being ninjas now. Remy hugged his legs closer, laying his chin on his knee cap. He closed his eyes, letting out the air he was holding in.
"Okay Remy, ready to build a fire?" Leo asked, looking over to his seven year old son, who looked bored and annoyed. "Dont look at me like that."
"I know how to build a fire! Its called lighters. Plus we live in the city."
"We went over this, you need to learn this in order to become a ninja---"
"What if I dont wanna be a stupid ninja? I dont wanna do stupid patrols---"
Remy heard his father sigh hard, oh its that sigh that always makes him feel guilty, man he hated when his dad did that. Leo made his way to his son, laying his hand on the boy's shoulder. "Okay, forget the ninja stuff for now, think of this as a survival skill, but you get to burn stuff without getting in trouble."
That caught Remy's attention, being the typical boy he loves burning stuff. He looked up at his dad then smirked, "Is it gonna be a big fire?"
Leo nodded, "Promise."
Remy tapped his index finger on his chin, thinking on his dad's offer. "Okay." He then halted Leo's hand when his dad held it out to shake on the deal. "But I dont have to eat those gross green trees again." He stuck out his tongue just thinking about the sight of them.
His father gave him a look, "Broccoli."
"Yeah that crap mom makes me eat!"
Leo sighed rolling his eyes before giving an understanding smile, he never liked those either. He nodded. "Deal."
Remy opened his eyes at the sound of voices nearby dispersing the wonderful memory. He looked over to see three mutants approaching him. The lizard mutant didnt stand or move, he just watched as three mutants came out from the dark abyss. Seriously how dark did these traders needed it to be? The fire being the only light, being so small Remy could barely make out what kind of mutants they were, though he hoped they werent turtles. His dad and uncles need to invest in some condoms. Thats for sure.
"Hey newcomer!" A voice spat, sounding like an older guy, from what Remy could see, it looked like he was a lizard? Like him, but not a hybrid. "Fires arent allowed, just like hybrids."
The other two laughed at the lizard's joke. Was it a joke? What the hell was so funny? The other one came more into the fire, giving a small revealance, he looked like another lizard, before throwing dirt on it, making some land on Remy. Remy started coughing like crazy as he felt the dirt in his throat. He rubbed his eyes as they begun to burn.
"We will make sure the mistress know about what you did." Another voice spat. It was nasally, like his uncle Donnie's voice but worse. Oh god please dont ever talk again. He thought. 
Remy heard the footsteps starting to leave but the lizards voice made them stop. "Why leave now? Lets have some fun with the new comer. We barely get any." Remy blinked a bit finally getting his vision back, getting to normal. Looking up he saw the three crowding around him, he tensed a bit, scooting back. The lizard guy had a bat in his hand. Wait how was he allowed to have a bat? Werent weapons not allowed? Remy cleared his throat, wincing at the pain from his cold he recieved from other mutants. "Why---"
"Oh look he speaks!" The nasaled voice spoke. Seriously if he werent sick, or freezing his ass off he'd be punching that mutants face just cause of his voice.
The female giggled, "He's kinda tasty."
"Down kitty." The lizard spoke. He reached out, grabbing Remy's neck, lifting the hybrid up like he was a bag of feathers. Face to face Remy met the lizard, the lizard smirked, "Im Mondo Geko, and your my next target."
The boy's eyes grew wide at the look in the kid's eyes. Oh god, was he going to eat him? Remy didnt think on it to much as he swung his leg into the lizards shin, making Mondo cry out in pain, releasing Remy. Remy staggered, off balance he fell into a pile of barrales that had sat near the hut. He turned to the hut when a small light came on. He felt his breathing get shallow, his attention turned on the three mutants, Mondo looking crazier, and angry, and the other two looking psychotic. Remy scooted back as Mondo readied the bat, "Im gonna have fun bashing your head in brat."
Remy gasped with wide eyes, seeing the bat coming right at his head. He dodged it luckily, making a barral behind him smash into peices. Remy quickly took a broken peice. Anothe swing, and another dodge, Remy threw himself forward, shoving the peice of wood into Mondo's leg, making the mutant scream in pain as he fell. Remy quickly got to his feet, backing up seeing the mutant squirm as the other two tried to help him. His cries sounded every mutant he could see awake. The lights filled the area so suddenly, revealing the identities of the other two, one looked like a cat? and the other looked like a pidgen-man thing. Mondo now pissed off pulled out the wood, throwing it aside, he snarled at Remy, "Your fucking dead for that!" He snapped before leaping forward for Remy. 
He though was encounted by a frying pan to the face as a lizard turtle got in between the two. Remy felt his heart leap with joy as he saw her orange skin. "Hope!"
Hope snarled at the baddies, "I suggest you get out of here away from my hut. Before I let the mistress know what her stupid help is really doing down here."
Mondo held his nose, snarling. "You wouldnt do that, you bitch." He was about to grab Hope when suddenly a green turtle with hard braces kicked him in the face, harder then a frying pan, throwing the mutant back on his back. 
"Koji!" Hope scolded.
"What!? I didnt hurt him as much as Remy did. Like dude, you got that stabbing arm!" He smiled big to Remy giving him a tumbs up, but frowned when he was given a look. He huffed, folding his arms. "Hey these trader ass holes should know me by now." He spat before going over to Mondo. He didnt even acknoledge the other two who were cowering away in the distance. Koji grabbed the collar of his shirt. 
"Koji I swear to god if you start your psychotic crap---"
"Im working here!" Koji encountered his girlfriend then smirked at Mondo, "Its funny that you think your so big and bad. Actually the way my uncle used to say, its sadorable really." He started, though his face turned chillingly scary. His eyes being blood red was glowing from the dim lights on the side of them from the huts, his smirk turned into a stiff frown, he got closer to Mono, really close, making sure they were eye to eye. "You ever try messing with my family I will kill you. And if your mistress bitch tries her shit, I will kill her too. And enjoy it too." The smile curved in a slow fashion as his eyes became really murderous looking. "Now get the hell out of here before I rip that head of yours right off."
Mondo laughed, "You dont have your axe."
"I dont need one kid. Now leave." He then shoved the mutant to the ground as he stood. He looked up at the two others, giving them looks, "Dont come near my family, or I will hunt you down. God it."
When the two didnt answer Koji jumped at them making them scream, Koji chuckled in delight loving the fear they showed him, "Now take your friend and leave!" He snapped.
With no other words the three made their way off. Hope watched with much disapproving look, "Really? The murder thing again?"
"Hey it worked didnt it."
Hope frowned. Remy hurried over to his older cousin, "That was amazing!" 
Koji laughed, "Not as amazing as that stabbing though." 
Hope watched annoyed as the two started fanboying over each others techniques, silently fear stirred in the pit of her stomach. Laying her hands on her stomach. Oh she didnt like what was in their future.

It felt timeless being in this place, no clocks, nothing. The only way to tell from morning to night is when the gauards call curfew and wake up time. Remy sat in his own little corner as he was reading Hope's journals she did allow him to read, though some she yelled at him for touching. Wonder why. She's been moodier now that he's been staying with them. Its hard to really grasp that shes apart of his family, or that his older cousin was really alive. He wondered if Hana knew about him being alive. He sighed softly leaning up against the wall of the hut. He frowned. 
"Why so down?" Hope asked as she was making the bed, which was just blankets on a spring filled dirt matteress.
Remy looked at her as if she was insane, her acting as if this was her normalcy, he wondered if they even tried to get out. He stayed silent though as one of the brothers came in, following after was Koji. They seemed like they were on a mission.
"And what are you two doing?" Hope asked the pair. 
Jason turned to Hope, "We are trying to make an escape route."
Hope widened her eyes as she got to her feet, clutching onto a blanket, "Jason---"
"I know what your gonna say, but this time it will work, we got Koji---"
"No! Absolutely not!"
"Hope we cant just stay here, we need to end this." Koji frowned.
"We can end this when we get rescued!"
"We aint getting rescued." A voice popped in, turning heads they saw TJ standing at the door, "Face it Hope, we are gonna die here if we dont take action."
"We are gonna die here if we do!" Hope growled, she then turned on Koji, "Im putting my foot down!"
Koji let out a laugh though Remy saw the look on her face, and so did Koji when he held up his hands then took her shoulders. "Honey---"
"Dont honey me!" Hope shoved him off as she threw the blanket from her hands, "Im pregnant Koji and the last thing is for you to get your butt killed, leaving me with two kids!"
"Your pregnant?" A small voice came out, causing the brothers, Koji, Hope and Remy to look over, seeing a small Daniel holding some food. He stood in front of Max, who looked uncomfrotable. Daniel cocked his head, "Im gonna be a big brother?"
All was silent for a while before Remy slowly stood up, holding the journal in his hand. "What if I help?" he asked making their attention fully on him now. Koji frowned, "No way."
Remy pursed his lips, frowning. "Why not?"
"Lets recall last night."
"I was off gaurd, and remember I stabbed a guy."
"That guy was to easy kid, your gonna just end up dead. Leave it to the adults." TJ spat.
Remy huffed, shaking his head. "You dont know me, and dont you dare act like you know me! You never saw me grow up, and you never seen how I fight."
"Ive seen you whine, and not to mention got a girl to fight for you, then your stupid cousin, your no ninja."
Remy rolled his eyes then folded his arms, shrugging. "Fine." He started walking as if he just didnt care, before he took off in a speed that threw everyone off, suddenly he appeared right on the other side of TJ, in between Max. He hit TJ's pressure point of his neck causing his body to lock up and fall down on his side. Remy smirked big as he looked at the other's surprised looks. He scoffed, "Ninja or not, I took down the bitchy one."
"Whats bitchy?" Daniel asked as he tugged on Remy's arm. Remy widened his eyes at his fuck up, he glanced at Daniel then looked at Hope's face. It was a mixture of wanting to kill him and just annoyed. Remy smiled big before picking up Daniel, "Well if you excuse me grown ups, I gotta go." He said as he set off, sighing in relief. He frowned, as he walked with Dani in his arms, "Your gonna get my tail in trouble by your mother you know that?"
Daniel giggled, "Shes not that scary."
"Thats what I thought too, but it was more of my dad. My mom is all shi--- I mean uhhh nevermind." Not really knowing how to speak to someone who was younger then him. He silently cursed his dad and mom never giving him a sibling to practice on. Sure he had Hana, but she was months behind him, not that much age difference. He stopped when he saw Esme, and Myumi coming, and with another mutant? Remy looked up at the big giant mutated guy, he looked like an iguana humanoid, like his uncles, dad and mother was. "Whoa..."
Esme smiled at the two, "Hello again kids."
Remy nodded to her but kept on staring at the tall mutant, compared to him, the guy was tall. He pondered if he was taller then his uncle Donnie. 
"Miss Esme whos that tall giant."
The mutant looked a little distraught from Daniel's comment. As an older brother figure Remy must take on the role of scolding, but how does one do that? He frowned remembering how his father used to do it, but shook it away, then his mom came into play, raising his brow noticing how much she would either cuss or laugh during her scolding sessions...wow. He sighed softly then looked to Dani, "Daniel dont point out someone's size, its rude." Like he should talk, he always made fun of Hana for being so short when he was younger, heck he still does. He looked at the mutant with a smile.
"This big sweetie here is Isaac. He was sick yesterday, so I couldnt introduce him to you."
"Not like he wants to know you." Myami spoke up.
Remy sighed, looking at the dragon mutant girl, "Oh your here? I thought I smelled something foul."
Myumi snarled at the boy then frowned, "No thats just you."
Esme watched, looking at the two, "Either kiss or shut up, pick one." She said, rubbing her temple. "Teenagers."
"Old people." Myami snorted but yelped when Esme smacked the back of her head. "Ow!"
Esme gave her a look. She folded her arms across her plastron, then looked up at Isaac. "Wanna go to the river?"
Isaac nodded, "Sure." His voice sounded deep and scratchy. When Esme turned she remembered to warn Remy about Isaacs tail, though in the midst of warning she heard a yelp, she turned to see Daniel sitting on top or Remy's chest. Esme went to Remy. Looking down at him, "Are you okay?"
"Oh all I saw was it coming to me--" He mumbled as Myami let out a giggle fest. Esme sighed.
"That was totally my bad." She lifted Daniel off of Remy and set him down. Daniel watched the older boy keep mumbling, frowning. He shook Remy, "Come on dude I wanna go to the river."
The word river brought Remy back. The boy slowly sat up, seeing Isaac approaching them, "Im so sorry---"
Remy rubbed his head, "Dont worry about it." He chuckled a bit. His eyes shifted up to Esme, frowning. "A river?"
"Yeah, this is the sewers genius." Myami said.
Remy stayed silent for a moment till Daniel tried tugging on his arm, frowning. "Come on I wanna goooo."
The hybrid watched the six year old try to pull him but was really failing at it making Remy chuckle, a little amused at the efforts. He slowly let the little kid think he was getting Remy up, Daniel smiled proud of his efforts and kept a hold of Remy's hand. "Just follow me!" He said before letting go and running off past the others, Remy tensed feeling a sudden panic struck him, "W-wait! Dani!" He shouted as he hurried after him, wondering if this is how Irrilia felt. He recalled that night, making the hybrid more panicked. He caught up to Daniel as the boy stood next to the "river" bank that was a ways from the mutant market. "Daniel!"
Daniel looked over to him, smiling, "Aint it pretty?" He asked before he jumped in and splashed around. Remy silently observed the child before his eyes shifted, scanning the "river" He narrowed his eyes as he started following the water. Hearing sloshing behind him, he assumed Daniel was behind him.
"Hey newcomer, what are you doing?" Myami asked as she dropped next to him.
"Seeing where this so called river goes." Remy replied, as he kept following.
"I wouldnt do that kid." Esme warned, "Theres rules here---"
"Rules or not, if this leads to an escape, then we gotta try. You can just stay and play it safe, but I got a family to go to." He turned to them, seeing Isaac standing next to Esme. Myami rose her brow, staying silent. Daniel hurried up to Remy and grabbed his arm, "Im with you Remy!"
Remy looked down at the child, smiling he rubbed the boy's head before looking at the others. He frowned, "Dont you have family to get back to?"
The question caught Esme off guard, when she didnt answer Remy turned to Myami, "Do you wanna rot here?"
Myumi frowned, "Not particularly."
Remy didnt say anymore, he got Daniel on his back, holding him up he started back on his trail. "I dont wanna die trying---" Esme said suddenly, making the mutant stop in his tracks. "You dont know how vicious she really is."
Remy narrowed his eyes, "I will die trying. Because thats what my father would do for me." He looked back at her, "Werent you willing to die for someone? For family? Just to see them again?"
Esme stared at him for a moment, then looked away. Remy kept his eyes on the woman, "Come if you want. Its up to you." He offered, turning on his feet he started down the river again. "I should take you back to your parents..."
"Me!? No way! I said I wanted to go with you."
"I know but---"
"But nothing, my daddy would do the same thing, so zip it." The small kid spat, surprising Remy a bit, well then.
Remy let out a laugh, "Your mother is gonna kill me."
"My mommy is the scariest woman around. Not even mistress is scary compared to mommy." 
The hybrid shook his head, adjusting the smaller mutant. He stopped when he saw small sewer grate, with bars for only the water to get threw. He let down Daniel as he knelt into the water, grabbing the bars he started to wiggle them a bit.
"Um Remy... I dont think you should do that."
"I know but I need to know if this can be an escape route." He said, grunting, pulling in a hard fashion.
"The kid's right, you shouldnt be doing that." A familiar voice spat, turning Remy noticed Esme, Myumi and Isaac standing near the water. Esme had her arms folded with a risen brow. "Your more of nit wit then that cousin of yours." She smirked. 
Remy felt his cheeks get hot, confused, was that an insult or a complement? He shook his head, angling up as Esme got into the water, she knelt down next to Daniel and behind Remy. "I got another idea in mind."
"I thought you were scared?" Remy frowned.
"Me scared? Not a chance." Esme scoffed, offering her hand, "Lets go make some plans."
Remy looked at her, then the others who nodded in agreement, he looked back to Esme, he smiled as he took her hand. "Right."

Another day in this prison. Another day. But today didnt seem like all the other days, Hope and Koji were at it again, Remy laid there silently hearing them as they spat underneath the covers, he frowned, looking up at the hut. Wondering if he was gonna be saved anytime soon. Remy closed his eyes as the images of his family came into play, remembering the last words he said to his mother, to Irrilia, to Hana. The emotions he kept inside all this time was gradually coming out. Turning over to his side away from the others he held his mout, tightening his eyes. 
"Remy lets go play some video games." Hana's voice asked in the back of his mind, seeing Irrilia standing right next to his cousin. The smile of his cousins made his chest tighten, feeling it hard to breathe.
"Remy you want to help me cook? I might burn it but hey thats what moms do right?" His mother's laugh rang, as he saw her smiling big, he hugged the blanket that covered him, biting his tongue hard trying to keep it in.
He opened his eyes only to see water flooding his vision.
"Remy lets go train." His father spoke as he came to Remy who was lounging on the bench in the pit.
"Awe I dont wanna, maybe later! Im on level ten!" Remy whined.
"Remy you need this more then I do. One day Im not gonna be around to keep you out of danger." 
"Okay dad I said later! Just leave me alone already!" Remy snapped. 
Remy closed his eyes again, he kept his mouth covered a bit knowing he was crying now, but he didnt care anymore. Looking back on things, regret filled the hybrid, wishing he would of took time for his father, seeing now he was only trying to prepare him for all this. What did he do? Just spat in his face. Maybe this is what he gets. Remy threw the blanket away, sitting up he covered his face, he couldnt breathe, it was hard to swallow, his stomach hurt as he felt himself in gasps, sobbing. 
"Remy?" He heard Hope call his name, though couldnt answer, even if he wanted to. He just wanted his dad, wanted his mother. He just wanted to be home already. He felt arms wrap around him, someone was holding him, stroking his head.
"Hey dont cry Remy, I know its tough but I promise you'll get to see them again." Koji soothed, Remy sniffed a bit, lifting his head up from his hands, seeing that Koji was holding him. Hope was on his other side.
Remy sniffed. "What if I dont..." He said in between gulps.
"That wont happen sweetie. Koji wont let it." Hope laid a hand on Remy's shoulder.
"We all wont kid." A voice popped in, making them all turn heads. 
Three turtles stood in the doorway hut. Max, Jason, and TJ.
The voice belonged to TJ, he entered the hut with something rolled up in his hand. "I thought you were out to get food."
"We were but Esme stopped us, gave us this." Jason gestured to the rolled up item in TJs hand, "She said we need to get to her hut and hurry. Bring as many mutants."
Remy conjured up another sniff as he left Koji's arm, sitting up more, "Whats that?" He pointed to the rolled up item. TJ held it up.
"Youll see when we get to Esmes, come on."
The hybrid reluntantly got to his feet, turning back to see Koji was helping Hope on hers. Hope kept her eyes on Koji with a look that wasnt so pleasing. Remy cleared his throat. He really hoped this wasnt going to get awkward.
"I know what your going to say."
Hope rose an eyebrow, folding her arms. Oh Remy should go now. The boy thought as he watched the pair, he was backing out the doorway with the brothers when Hope, not even looking over to Remy sternly ordered. "Remy dont move out of this hut."
Remy froze in place, though a side of him wanted to smart off telling her who she wasnt his mom. But she's the closest person-lizard-turtle mutant as a mom right now. So he obeyed, not loving it but what teen does? 
"Come on Hope, you cant expect us to just do nothing."
"I expect us to be rescued---"
"Youll be waiting a long time then." TJ spat, "Esme's been here since the late thirties, about a good seven years. Theres no rescue."
Hope looked away, biting her lip. Was she really getting upset over this? Remy frowned at the sight. He silently watched Koji lay a hand on her back. 
"Hope---"
Hope unfolded her arms and laid her hands on her small bump, sighing. "I know." She looked over to the brothers and Remy, "We should get going."
"Im sorry we?" Jason spoke up behind Remy, the turtle moved past him to join his sister, "That we better include us, Remy and Koji."
"Yes, but it includes me to."
"Hell no!" TJ and Koji both said in unison, making Hope look bemused, she held up her hands. "When were you two in charge of me?"
"When the day you became the annoying side of my life." TJ spat.
Koji frowned, "And since You became a mother to your two children."
Remy rolled his eyes at his idiot cousin, obviously seeing his mistake, though was slightly amused by the look Hope was giving Koji. Koji smiled nervously, "I mean, since you became apart of my life?" He quickly recovered.
Hope rolled her eyes, with a hard sigh she folded her arms, "I wanna be apart of this too."
"You are." Remy said surprising himself a little, usually he would stay quiet, unless it was some other matters involving him. "I mean in a way your helping out, by protecting someone who cant be protected." He looked over to Daniel who was still sleeping, his eyes shifted to her, "Your protecting the two who needs it the most."
Hope kept her eyes on the boy, she smiled at him softly before leaving her brother and boyfriend. Remy grunted when he was engulfed in a big hug from her. Oh god. Please. He held in his agony of big hugs to please the girl, once she let go he took a giant step back, bumping into Max whos been here this whole time. Remy quickly jumped away from the brother, looking really nervous. Max only laughed at the boy's antics before he held up his arms, "Okay come on bros! We gotta go."
TJ and Max started off, Remy stayed put silently watching Jason leave, Koji giving Hope a tender kiss making the boy look away, he felt his cheeks growing hot, he shook his head, trying to not be to embarrassed about seeing a kissing scene up close, He's seen others kiss, though he'd still get embarrassed. He sighed softly. He decided to just start off without Koji, looking around as he walked. He couldnt help but to notice there were other mutant kids around, some were as young as Daniel's age. TJ's words rang in Remy's head with echos left behind. "Seven years?" He muttered to himself. Seven years seems so long. Remy came to a stop, frowning at the hut with the group of mutants around it. He took in a breath, hoping this was really the right thing to do. "You can do this Remy." He said to himself before joining the mutants, squirming through he eventually reached the table where he found Esme standing, and a map laid out. TJ was next to her, along with the two brothers. Wow, they were fast. Or he was just really slow. 
"Esme why did you bring us here? We all could be dead you know." A lady spoke up, she sounded old, like an elderly mutant. Remy widened his eyes at the sight of the woman lizard mutant, wow. he wondered if his mother would look like that at an elderly age. The thought made him smile and laugh a bit, luckily the crowds cries covered the laugh. 
Esme smacked her hands on the table hard enough to draw silence. She gave a pleased smile. "Thank you for the silence. Now I brought you all here today for something to fight for. Freedom!"
"Freedom? Bitch you know we wont get any--" One guy behind Remy said.
Esme rolled her eyes, "If you dont fight, then we wont."
"But if you fight we all will die." Another mutant cried out.
Remy silently watched as the mutants kept finding stuff to yell out, excuses, cries, fears, anything. He saw Esme looking a bit more discouraged with each complaint, recalling her determined face back at the "river" he wasnt going to let these stupid mutants take that from her. He climbed up on the table, surprising Esme and the brothers in the process. He sucked in a breath before letting out his loudest yell, startling most of the mutants into silence again. Remy stopped his yell when he noticed their attention was on him. He took a moment to talk, he felt his chest tighten, his palms were a bit sweaty. He started laughing nervously, "H-Hows everyone doing?" He asked scratching his head. When he got angry daggers thrown his way he made a cringed face. "That aweful huh."
"Get down kid!" One mutant scream, starting another riot. Remy sighed, watching them, but behind all their anger was fear, remembering what his father once taught him years ago, fear is like gasoline to fuel the angered fire. These mutants were scared, just like him. They probably have loved ones, just like he does. He frowned, something provoked him, anger? fear? or was it determination, he didnt know. But all he knew was he needed to get these mutants on board. He stomped his foot along with his tail as hard as he could. He did it again, till he had all of their attention again. 
"Mutants, please calm down! We're getting no where with your stupid bickering!" He projected
"What do you know your just a bratty kid!" One mutant yelled.
Remy narrowed his eyes, "Im a bratty kid who knows how it feels! who knows how all you mutants feel! We all have one thing in common. We all were ripped away from our lives, our families!" Remy stopped for a moment, letting the words sink in but mainly for him to keep his emotions in check. Trying to anyways. "I know you guys are scared. Im scared to. Im terrified that my last moment with my mother was a stupid fued, or my last moment with my cousin was a stupid fued. In order to not let any of our last moments be really our last we gotta take action, we gotta have courage that we all have deep inside. Mutants, we need to take our freedom, our lives, our identities back!" He continued, he watched the crowd's faces change, all were talking amongst themselves till an old cat lady presented herself, she looked up to Remy with a smile, "You seem like a good boy."
"Uh, I do?"
The cat lady nodded, holding out her hand to him. Remy slowly knelt down to her. Her eyes were golden brown, fur was light brown. She wore a kimono. "You seem like the leader type."
Remy frowned, remembering the argument his father and he had after the ceremony of Irrilia's, he forced a smile on his face, taking her hand. "Thank you ma'am. But I am no leader."
The cat lady chuckled, "Ah, but you are, you have the spirite of someone familiar to me. I can see it."
"Who?"
"In time you will find out soon, but now you are our leader, so get started."
Remy widened his eyes at her. He jumped at the sudden touch of Esme, he looked up to her, she smirked. "Nice going kid!" Remy let out a half hearted laugh before taring his eyes away and back onto the cat lady, but to his surprise she wasnt there anymore. He stood up quickly trying to look for her, but she was no where to be found. That was odd. He scratched his head confused. 
"So leader what do we do now." A mutant asked Remy. 
Remy looked down at her, remembering the cat lady's words, "You have the spirit..." He muttered to himself beofre nodding. He hopped off the table, feeling the confidence inside him, "Hope you guys dont have plans, this will be a long escape mission. Uh, thing?" Remy rose up a brow as he was reflecting on his poor choices of words. While the others talked amongst themselves again. His thoughts were cut short when Myumi joined his side, along with Esme. All of a sudden he was on thier shoulders and hearing the crowd cheering. He felt his cheeks getting hot. Oh god this is embarrassing. He thought, but a part of him kind of liked the attention and praises. While he was being held up in the air, the cheering of the mutants seemed a bit disoriented as Remy caught sight of an older woman in white. Her eyes were white as ice. Her hair silver that draped over her shoulders. Her cold glowering eyes met his, sending chills down the hybrid's back. Was she the mistress everybody's been talking about?Once he was back on the table he was met with his older cousin, "Great motivation there Rem." Koji praised, helping Remy onto the ground.
Remy normally would of jumped for joy at the praise of his older cousin, but at this time, he had a sinking feeling he just made things worse.
"You okay?" 
Remy looked up to him, then off to the side looking past the crowd of people. At the spot where he saw that lady in white. 
Oh this is not good... He thought as he nodded to his cousins question without really realizing it.

The day grew into night, slowly, today was only planning. Luckily he had Esme's help with that, without her he would of been totally screwed. That and Koji took over teaching the mutants how to fight with weapons. He should be happy right now, excited, he's gonna finally see his family. But that chilling sight of the woman in white got him on edge. Remy watched his extended family prepare their small portions of foods, they all sat in a circle. Dani sitting in his father's lap, and Hope serving the plates to everyone. Remy stuck his tongue out at the so called food in front of him. "Why does it smell like sweaty gym socks?"
"Cause thats what they call food for us mutants." TJ commented, he looked over to Max who was eating it with no problem. Remy noticed Jason looking a little ill when he was watching Max. He set his plate down. 
"I think I lost my appetite." He commented.
Max smiled a bit, "Can I have it?" He asked when he was already reaching for it. Remy found it amusing when Hope swatted his hand away. 
"No, Jason you need to eat, you know how you get. Besides with you guys doing god knows what out there, you need all the energy you can get."
"What energy? This garbage is garbage Hope." TJ pointed out shoving the small bowl away from him. Dispair fell on Hope, she looked to Koji who wasnt eating it either. She narrowed her eyes at him.
"What? TJ's right, its crap!"
"Its better to have something in your stomach then nothing at all! At least with this you wont get ambushed or faint from hunger!"
"You worry to much." Koji commented, which was the most wrong move any guy could say to a pregnant lady.
Hope huffed, she grabbed Koji's bowl and placed it on his head, causing the whatever it was to go all over his head, covering most of his face. "And you worry less!" Hope commented before storming out of the hut.
Koji growled in frustration, the brothers and even Daniel laughed at the scene. Remy frowned, silently he got up. He made his way to the hut door, but stopped in his tracks. 
"Ah just leave her, she's always like this." TJ informed.
Jason sighed, "Very emotional."
Max nodded in agreement. Koji sighed, "Best not to piss her off even more."
Remy looked back at them. He was hesitant at first, trying to think of what to say to the woman. He sucked in a breath, let it out, and ventured forward. He stopped when he saw her sitting on a stump across their hut, slowly he made his way to her. He stopped at her side, looking around figuring out what to say. His eyes laid on her when he heard soft sobbing. She was crying. He remembered April's reaction to Donnie the last time he saw them, she acted just like this, but without the crying. More with a 'Im gonna kill you and hide the body' aditude. He watched silently as she lifted her face from her hands, drying her face. "Im sorry." She stopped a moment, looking ashamed. "I hate this. Im pregnant, and I cant do anything but sit back." She said softly. She looked up at the lights that hung above them in this big space. She let her head hang a bit. "Im an idiot."
Remy hated to her cry, any person cry for that matter. But mainly her, shes been at his side through all this, she shouldnt have to put up with it. What should he do though? A thought crossed his mind about just hugging her, but he remembered those times of when Irrilia or Hana were upset and he just awkwardly hugged them, uh, maybe not. He sighed a bit, settling himself next to the stump and her, he hugged his legs, "Your doing more then you think Hope." He told her.
The orange turtle looked over to him, "What?"
Remy started something, and as his father always told him, 'You start something, you finish it.' Great, he held back the awkwardness inside him as he stretched out his legs, hunching over. "Well, I mean without you, the brothers would have to worry about Dani, and K-Koji wouldnt be able to fight, with his son being in danger and all. I mean, so what about the food and stuff, they're dumb men who whine about everything. I know my dad can be the same way when my mom cooked for him." He smiled as the memory flooded into his mind. "Oh man was she mad, she actually cussed him out before making him lay out on the bench. Lets just say she never cooks for him." He laughed a bit. "And I should know how guys are. I am one." He added quickly, he gave her a side glance, he noticed how she was looking at him, the way every woman looks when a guy comes to her rescue. He looked down at his thighs, feeling his face getting hot again. "I dunno, just dont think your useless okay. Your doing a lot considering." He rambled again feeling his awkwardness emerging. Suddenly he felt arms around him as he was pulled into a hug from her.
"Thank you Remy!" She nuzzled his cheek a bit before giving him a peck. He gave her a half smile as he looked over to her. She returned the smile. 
"Dont mention it." He stammered as he felt his face get hot. 
"Hey! Hey! What are you doing with my woman?" A familiar voice came behind them, making Remy pull away from Hope completely, he looked up to see Koji still having a dirty face from the food. He smirked a bit. "You little devil, trying to steal her."
Remy made a face as if offended, "Uh, shes thirty something." He said not realizing it. Hope widened her eyes then scoffed sounding more offended than he was. She playfully shoved Remy. 
"Im twenty seven thank you." She defended.
Remy rubbed his arm giving her an apologetic smile, "See, male and idiot." He pointed, "That was me proving my point." 
Hope chuckled a bit, "Right." She slowly got to her feet, with the help of Koji, she looked over to him in a way that a fifteen year old shouldnt really watch. With that in mind, Remy made himself scarce as he awkwardly started for the hut. Though was stopped when someone appeared in his way. "What the?"
Mondo and his groupies. Mondo smirked. "Well well, look at what we have here, rule breakers in sight."
In seconds Koji and Hope was next to Remy, ready to defend. What was he? A damsel in distress? Now rethinking it he probably was. Well thats depressing.
"What do you punks want?" Koji asked.
"Its not what we want, its the mistress." Mondo informed with a big smile, he then pointed to Hope, "And that pregnant bitch is just apart of it."
Koji snarled, "Go tell your bitch mistress to fuck off. Theres no one pregnant here."
"Oh really? Grutchen, please play the tape." He ordered the female. The female obliged, bringing out a voice recorder, playing back 
the multiple comments about Hope's pregnancy, Remy widened his eyes. "Now she can come the easy way, or the hard way. Your choice Koji. Also I recall that small brat being at the age of getting gassed? Or disected, since he's not doing his part, nor is she."
The mention of Koji's son made the hot tempered turtle keep his front. Remy frowned, "What if I take their place?" He asked, surprised at the words he let slide out. The others seemed surprised too, Mondo smirked, amused. "Im listening."
Remy stared at the guy's eyes, seeing the blood lust, fear was overcoming him, but something inside him told him to not back down, that he can do this. Can he? How would he get out of this if he did? The self doubt was baring on him till he saw Daniel peeking out from the hut, the face showed fear from the boy, thinking about the boy's life ending short, along with Hope. He looked over to Koji, his older cousin he so long admired, wished to be sometimes, remembering how and what he sacrificed for the safety of his family. He frowned, his eyes shifted towards Mondo. His father would of done it, with no hesitation. Irrilia too. He narrowed his eyes as he looked down a little. "Ill be your sacrifice. Just leave them alone."
Mondo burst out laughing, startling all three of them. Mondo started over to Koji, bringing out a knife with something slimy on it, he smirked big in a swift motion it sliced Remy's cheek, making a thin cut on the hybrid. Remy grunted, holding his cheek, feeling slimby substance along with his blood that drizzled down his cheek, Koji shoved Mondo back, making the mutant stumble back, he smiled big, "Cute offer, though I wish I could see you at your worst, but sadly I have no time." Remy frowned, at his worst? What did that mean? He wanted to ask but had no time when Mondo brought out a gun the other mutant with the nasally voice was holding in another bag. He then pointed it to the three. "Say goodnight."
"No!" A voice yelled out, with no warning Mondo yelped in pain, dropping the gun in the process. He whipped his tail around revealing Daniel at the end with his teeth grabbing ahold of the tail. How in the hell did Dani get to them so fast?
"You little fucker!" Mondo snapped, slamming the small boy to the ground making Hope scream. Koji's hot temper over boiled, he rushed forward throwing a punch to Mondo, the other two mutants grabbed ahold of Koji, holding him back with struggles. Mondo staggered, whipping the blood off his lip, he snarled, "Just for that your gonna watch your stupid kid die." He declared as he lifted his tail off the ground with Daniel attached. 
"No!" Hope cried out as she hurried over to Mondo, Mondo laughed, he slung the child down onto the ground, slamming him into the ground, causing the kid to bite into him even more. "Stupid kid, let go!"
Hope grabbed some rocks near by, about to throw it when he held up her child as a shield. "You hit me, you hit your own child."
Remy saw their situation, shock and fear was all he had in his body, as he gazed at the blood streaming from Dani's body. Blood. He shuddered a bit, his eyes looked over to Koji who was out to kill now. He noticed Hope was trying not to collapse seeing the situation they were in.
Mondo pulled off Daniel, holding him by his shell he snarled. "Ill just might have you dissect kid."
Remy watched in awe at his little cousin's burn to hit the guy that was holding him up in the air. "Just wait you stupid, my uncles are gonna kick your stupid butt!"
Mondo laughed, taking out the knife he had cut Remy with "Why not start with your mouth." He then pointed it up to Daniel, making the kid whimper a bit.
"Leave him alone!" Hope begged.
Koji struggled out of the grips, Remy moved out of the way as he saw his older cousin kick the nasal voiced mutant in the shin, making him cry out. He grabbed the other girl and pulled her arm back to her back making her cry out, he then held her in front of her, grabbing her throat. Remy backed into Hope, shocked at the sight, this is a side of his older cousin hes never seen before. Apart of him kinda admired it, but another part of him was scared shitless. 
"You touch him and she's dead."
Mondo looked unimpressed, he shrugged, "So, kill her. She's nothing to me."
Grutchen looked broken at the lizard's words, Koji snarled, "Im serious Mondo you put my son down, or I will kill all three of you!"
Mondo laughed clearly more amused. He shoved the knife more in the small kids face. "Sure, you said that last time didnt you? And guess where that landed you and this parasite."
Remy noticed Koji's facial expression changed just for a second, a mixture of anger and despair. When Mondo was about to slice Daniel, Koji threw away the girl, "No!" He yelled, he started for Mondo but stopped short when a gun fire was shot. The lights suddenly went off, well what was left of the lighting which wasnt much. Remy tensed up, not being able to see at all. Oh pitch black darkness was never his friend. He gasped at the sound of another fire following after a cry. Remy was on his toes in all the commotion till a something wrapped around his arm making him yell. A hand covered his mouth causing him to freak out. Oh this is not at all good. Thinking it was Mondo he started squirming as he was picked up, his screaming came out muffled. There was more screaming, from the nasal voiced guy and Grutchen, Remy widened his eyes at the sound of Grutchen begging for life before she screamed again, multiple times, her screams grew louder before they just stopped completely. Remy grunted when he was thrown into something, something that looked like a hut, but it wasnt Hope's and Koji's, someone else's? He held his arm, looking around he saw a figure standing in the huts doorway. "Whats going on?" He asked, he felt his body shaking. 
The glowing eyes turned on him, swiftly the figure came closer, a little to close for his liking. Myami's face appeared in front of him, he widened his eyes. "M-Myami?"
She covered his mouth putting a index finger to her lips. She looked over when someone else entered the hut, they were dragging a body, another figured followed behind, this one was smart enough to have a light with them, Max was shown, he was holding Daniel. He set Daniel down, shining the light quickly over the other dragged body, Koji. Remy widened his eyes, "What! Are they?!" He was smacked in the head by Myami, making him yelp. "Are you blind? I told you to shut up." She scolded.
Remy shook his head, "How can I when-
Myami growled, "Look dont be scared okay?" She told him before getting up and hurrying out of the hut. Remy watched in sheer horror at the bodies that they laid out in front of him, sprawled out. If that wasnt bad enough he heard sirens over head blaring. Like in those war movies he always watched with his uncles. Oh god. Oh god. His heart was beating so hard, his chest started to hurt. He heard screaming from everywhere outside. He wasnt tied up, or gagged, he could easily go check it out. But at this point his legs were noodles. His heart was pounding, and he couldnt get himself up. Multiple figures filed in, one stood by the door, flashing lights started swarming the area, giving Remy some light to see who was their captives, or rescuers?
Esme was at the door, holding a gun in her hands, like a war soldier. She drew the curtains back only a smudge. "They're looking for people to punish." She informed.
"Theyre gonna check here." Myami pointed out.
"We need a way out. Pronto."
"TJ and Jason should be back." Max supplied. "Along with Isaac."
"They better hurry, Max go to the back doorway, Myami tend to these three wounds."
"What's going on here?" Remy asked.
Max went to Remy, pulling him up. "This is war kid."
"Already?" Remy widened his eyes.
"They hurt our own, now we defend till we escape" Max told him as he gave Remy a weapon that looked hand made. 
From what he remembered nobody got hurt, "But, no one was hurt."
"They were, the three laying down there were fired at in the dark. We gotta make sure no one gets them." Max explained, pulling Remy to the back doorway of the hut.
"What? How? I would of seen it!"
Max frowned, "It was when the lights went out....They got Grutchen already." He held up his own gun, "Luckily Esme was in the process of making weapons before they started."
"But, why would they start?"
Max shrugged, "Probably saw we were having to much freedom...."
"Max! we are losing them!" Myami cried out.
"Shit." Max spat, he looked to Remy, "Do you know anything about the medical fields?"
"Um... A little. I know Hana knows a lot about that."
"Hana?"
Remy nodded, "My cousin, Koji's little sister."
Max frowned, he looked over to the three before taking a look out the back of the hut. A smile drew on his face. "Well I be damned..."
Remy took a look of what Max's smile was about and saw a big truck heading straight for them. "Oh my god..."
"Those bastards did it!" Myami cheered. 
"Hurry and get the three!" Esme ordered, rushing to the smallest one, she past the others as she approached the truck as TJ parked. The two hopped out, Jason taking Daniel from Esme. Esme turning to the others, "Move it, we dont have time to doddle!" She spat. It happened in a blur, Hope and Koji was packed up in the back, he eventually got into the back of the vehicle, Myami, Isaac, Max and Jason settled in the back surrounding the three that were injured. Remy finally saw the wounds that were conflicted onto his family. As the truck sped going over bumps, the shots fired around the truck, causing Jason and Max to fire back from behind. Remy crawled to the window that overlooked the front, He saw they were gonna crash into bars that blocked off the tunnels. "W-what are you doing?" Remy asked, yelling over the gun shooting.
"Ramming it!" Esme answered as she sped up causing Remy to jerk back a bit. He held onto the ledge tight.
"Your crazy!" Remy spat.
Esme smirked, "I take that as a compliment! Hold on!" She yelled. Remy looked back seeing the two were being covered by Myami, using her wings as shields. Though Daniel was sliding a little, "Dani!" Remy reached out grabbing onto the small child's shell, pulling him in his arm, as his other hand clung to the window. He gritted his teeth as he felt himself being thrashed around violently as Esme swerved to avoid the tires getting shot out. With no warning the truck slammed through the bars, causing them to make a break for it, after they were deep in the tunnel the ride became smooth, Remy unlatched himself from the window and held the toddler in his arms, looking at Isaac, Jason and Max. Jason and Max were fixed on their sister. Remy frowned, gazing at the pair, he felt suddenly guilty. He looked down at the boy who had a small crack in his plastron now, and a cut around his bottom lip. He hugged the small boy close to him, "Im so sorry..." He said softly. "I should of done something.... I should of----"
"Shut up kid." TJ said from the front. 
Remy kept silent as the drive went on till they found themselves out on the New York City streets. The silence lingered till Jason spoke up, "Didnt that seem to easy?"
Max nodded, "Too easy."
"We'll worry about that later. Right now, our maid objective is to get those three to Remy's cousin." Esme said. "Remy?"
Remy looked over to Esme then nodded, "I know a secret passage way that my uncle invented."
Esme smiled a bit. "Then please... lead the way leader." 
Strangely, as much as he wanted to be called leader since Irrilia became one, he didnt feel as satisfied as he thought he'd be...
Him leader? Not a chance...
